Traditionally grown in southwestern France, Tannat just like it's name suggests is a high tannic varietal. It has found a home in the limestone soils of the Texas Hill Country where the wine is ripe and tannic but maintains a delicacy that makes it imminently drinkable.
Opaque black red center with a bright red rim. Aromas of boisenberry, blackberry, plum, juniper, and cardamom. Bright and vivid on the palate with freshness from the acidity and silky tannins.
Tannat has rich color and can have harsh tannins, so we treated the fruit extra gently, resulting in a silky dense wine.
